Unsolicited Opinion

Starting over

· meta

I started this blog in 2005, with opinions about everything. Twenty-one years later, most of those opinions have aged the way you’d expect, so I’ve taken them down.

What I actually spend my days on now is making apps. Due has been my job since 2010, paid for by the people who use it. That’s an unusual way to make a living, and I’d like to write more about my experiences and what it takes to keep a product going for 16 years.

So that’s what this is now. Expect posts on building and shipping apps, the joys and pains of being an indie developer, how to give feedback and get help as a customer, and my unsolicited opinions on design.

A handful of the old posts that still hold up are in the archive. Everything else is gone.

If you’d like to follow along, there’s an RSS feed.
